Important information for the admission of international applicants:

  • A certificate of completion of a minimum grade point average of %60 to apply for Bachelor of Science
  • A certificate of completion and bachelor’s degree of a minimum grade point average of %60 to apply for a Master of Science
  • A bachelor’s degree of a minimum grade point average of %60 and a Master’s degree of a minimum grade point average of %60 to apply for Phd

Note: Applicants can apply for admission to the university after completing the course and receiving a degree with their course transcripts. This admission is subject to receiving a degree or defending the dissertation before the end of the semester and enrollment. The admission will be canceled if the applicant does not present the degree or the defense minutes before the final registration.

Note: According to the laws and regulation of Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) admission is only possible for non-Iranian students.

  1. Required documents for admission:
  • A tracking code received from the competence system of the international Student Affairs Organization (SAORG) of MSRT (SAORG tracking code) from saorg.ir.
  • Completing the online application form from https://admission.aut.ac.ir/
  • Providing the degrees and certificate of the previous educational programs
  • A copy of passport (even for Afghan applicants)
  • A clear scan of applicant’s photo

  • Curriculum Vitae (for the applicants of doctoral programs)
  • Two letters of recommendation (Only for MSc applicants)

  • Scholarship approval letter from MSRT or other organizations approved by SAORG

Note: Degrees and transcripts issued by foreign schools and universities must be approved by the representative offices of the Islamic Republic of Iran in that country or the embassy of the applicant country in Iran and if they are not in English, they must be translated officially into Persian or English.

Note: In case of any discrepancy between the applicant’s admission and registration conditions and the rules of the procedure, the applicant will be prevented from continuing the admission and education. All the transcripts and documents will be received in:

International Affairs office, 4th floor, Farabi building, No. 350, Hafez Ave, Valiasr Square, Tehran, Iran  

Please note that the medium of Instruction for all courses is Persian, so that all students should have a good command of Persian Language for studying in the Amirkabir University of Technology. Otherwise they should attend some Persian Language classes held in International Center for Persian Studies for 8 months at least.
